Big Dog Coffee

Big Dog Coffee Roasters operates out of the Caerphilly Borough in South Wales, with a roastery that doubles as a training facility and public space. They roast on a Diedrich IR-12, a US-made drum roaster well regarded in the specialty trade, and have built their sourcing around direct trade relationships with producers in Tanzania, Timor-Leste, Colombia, Mexico, and Guatemala.

The business is one of the more visible roasters in the Welsh independent coffee scene, running retail, wholesale, and barista training alongside the roastery. The setup reflects an intent to serve both coffee professionals and everyday customers from a single site in the valleys.
