Dear Green Coffee Roasters was founded in Glasgow in 2011 by Lisa Lawson, starting as a one-person operation with a single roasting machine. The name comes from Dear Green Place, the Scots Gaelic meaning of Glasgow.

The roastery has grown into a B Corp-certified business with a roastery, showroom, and SCA-accredited training space in the east end of the city at G40 3AP. The roastery is certified organic and has a collection focused on women producers as a distinct buying category.

They donate 2% of all revenue to charitable causes and run regular community events in Glasgow. Training is available at SCA-accredited level.

The business sells online and through wholesale, and runs subscriptions. Their sourcing advocacy extends beyond their own purchases: they are active in industry-wide conversations about ethical sourcing and climate resilience.
