Figment Coffee

Figment Coffee was established in Aberdeen in 2017 by Neil Glover, who left a career in oil and gas after an encounter with speciality coffee prompted a change of direction. The business has grown to include a roastery and multiple café locations in Aberdeen, with the roasting side supplying both the cafés and an online retail and subscription operation.

Figment describes a sourcing model in which direct farmer relationships are increasing, with more coffees coming from producers they know personally rather than through anonymous importers. The menu spans single origins and seasonal offerings across filter and espresso preparations.

The cafés serve food prepared by an in-house baking team alongside the coffee programme.
