Frazer's Coffee Roasters was founded in 2014 in Sheffield, operating from the old cutlery district in the city centre. Founder Frazer built his first roasting machine himself using Sheffield steel and his background in mechanics, having started out roasting in his back garden before outgrowing the setup.
He has since made sourcing trips to more than 7 coffee-origin countries, visiting over 10 farms to establish direct relationships. The business works with co-operatives at origin, describing its model as directly traded, and supplies trade customers including HSBC, WHSmith and Facebook alongside independent cafés and retailers.
The range includes the flagship Freightline blend and single origins, with Peru among the named origins. Frazer remains personally involved in roasting daily.
The team has grown to six people, and the roastery also sells equipment and runs barista training.
