Grain and Grind began roasting in 2018 when the team installed a roaster in one of their existing coffee shops in Scotland, allowing them to produce their own coffee alongside the café operation. Since then they have opened additional Grain and Grind café locations across Scotland and a standalone roastery to meet growing demand.

The roastery roasts across a range of origins and sources from smallholders and farming co-operatives, with many of the coffees named after the specific farms or estates they come from. John, their head roaster, selects and roasts the full range.

Beyond the cafés, Grain and Grind supplies coffee and services espresso machines for businesses across the UK. Location data was not confirmed in the source material, though all indicators point to Scotland.
