Monsoon Estates is a family-run coffee roastery based near Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire, started after founders Chris and Anne developed a taste for good coffee while living in Europe and Australia and found it hard to source on their return to the UK.
Monsoon Estates is a family-run coffee roastery based near Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire, started after founders Chris and Anne developed a taste for good coffee while living in Europe and Australia and found it hard to source on their return to the UK. The name comes from a Monsooned Malabar coffee that was among their early offerings.
Chris sourced Toper roasting machines directly from Turkey to start and scale the operation. The business won a Great Taste Award in 2012 for its Nicaraguan Maragogype coffee, receiving two gold stars.
It has continued to enter Great Taste Awards and received recognition in 2018. The roastery supplies wholesale customers including cafés and restaurants and offers a customisable subscription service.
Coffees in the current range include single origins from Ethiopia and Uganda alongside a Guatemalan Monte Rosa.
