Pink Lane Coffee opened its first café on Pink Lane in Newcastle in 2012, near Newcastle's Central Station. The roastery grew from there, and the business now roasts and supplies specialty coffee to homes and businesses across the UK.

The café serves a full menu with vegetarian and vegan options, seven days a week. The business is structured as a collective: all Pink Lane managers hold a stake in the business and a say in how it operates.

The company is a Real Living Wage employer and sources its milk from Marley Cote Walls dairy farm in Northumberland. Online orders ship on Thursdays via Royal Mail tracked.

The wholesale operation covers cafés, restaurants, hotels, bars and offices.
