Red Bank Coffee Roasters is an online roastery with a sourcing programme built around producer relationships rather than broker catalogues. The team visits producers directly and year on year, which has opened up collaborative arrangements beyond standard buying.
At Daterra in Brazil they run their own agricultural experiment on a dedicated plot, and at El Fénix in Colombia they have worked with the farm to develop bespoke fermentation and processing protocols. Red Bank roasts exclusively on Loring machines, citing their energy efficiency and the cleaner, more expressive results they produce.
The roastery was also the first in the UK to adopt fully recyclable packaging made predominantly from post-consumer recycled plastic. Two percent of revenue from coffee sales goes to charitable and environmental causes, currently split between rewilding projects, Growing Well (a local organic farm and mental health charity), and Raw Material, a not-for-profit importer focused on improving producer livelihoods.
