Salford Roasters was founded in September 2016 with a deliberate focus on making specialty coffee accessible to a wider audience in Salford and Manchester, rather than positioning itself as a niche product for enthusiasts. The business is run from a roastery at the Protector Lamp Business Park in Eccles, where customers can visit and collect during the week.
The roastery uses equipment from IMF Roasters, whose patented Vortex drum system separates the heat generator from the drum for controlled temperature throughout the roast. Salford Roasters has picked up multiple awards and has extended into an unusual collaboration with Salford Rum, producing a coffee rum that blends the two local producers.
The range includes coffee, Sage home espresso machines, and a line of chocolate products.
