The Coffee Factory

The Coffee Factory is a family-run roastery on the Devon and Dorset border, having moved several times from its origins in Axminster. The roasting is done by head roaster and co-founder Danny on Dorothy, a 22kg 1950s Probat UG roaster that has been restored and fitted with some modern additions.

The vintage machine is central to how the business presents itself, and roasting is done weekly. The roastery works with ethically minded importers who audit farms directly, and focuses on full traceability back to the grower.

The range includes standing blends and single origins that rotate with the seasons, sold online through a subscription club and one-off orders.
