Upside Coffee Roasters

Upside Coffee Roasters is an independent roastery founded in Dublin in 2016 by Jamie and Lucy, starting in a 30 square metre lockup off Richmond Road on the Northside. The name references both the Northside location and the idea that coffee can have a positive effect on people's lives.

They now supply wholesale to cafes and restaurants across Ireland, with sourcing that changes seasonally to reflect harvest timing in different countries. The business is small and the about page is honest about it: a small team of roasters, tasters, and dispatchers working with independent producers.

Their green coffee comes from a range of farm sizes, from holdings under 10 acres to smallholder cooperatives.
